The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre has been a theatre since 1913.
The Ontario Heritage Trust purchased the historic building in 1981 and restored it to its original form.
It is the last functioning double-decker theatre in the world, with the Winter Garden Theatre 7 storeys above the Elgin theatre.
It is now used for shows and special events.
